Wofford students spend summer consulting for area businesses
2013 Jul 23Twenty Wofford students are participating in The Institute, a program created by the college in 2009 to help students learn professional skills such as networking, public speaking and consulting before graduation to help them better compete for jobs. The Institute runs from July 8 through August 2. Divided into groups, the students will tackle a problem for one of four local companies: the Boy Scouts of America Palmetto Council, globalbike, Michelin North America, and Milliken and Co. In preparation for their projects, Institute students learn the basic skills needed to function in a professional environment.
