Alexandra Morgan Hunt receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Alexandra Morgan Hunt was recognized on May 7 during Honors Day ceremonies when she received the the Arthur B. and Ida Maie S. Rivers Award. Hunt is majoring in art history. The Arthur B. and Ida Maie S. Rivers Award is presented annually to the member of the senior class who most exemplifies traits of integrity, virtue, gentleness, and character. It was given by the late Colonel (Ret.) R. Stafford Rivers of Columbia, S.C., in memory of his parents.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
