Charles Johnson Honored at Wofford College Greek Awards Program

Charles Johnson received the IFC New Member of the Year Award during the Wofford College Greek Awards Program held on March 20, 2012. The New Member of the Year Award goes to a student who has been a strong asset to his chapter. Johnson has helped his brothers succeed academically and has strongly supported his fraternity's philanthropy, helping plan a basketball tournament fund raiser for the S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind. As a freshman, he also has gained fame in being the Fan Favorite in "Wofford's Got Talent."

Johnson, a member of the class of 2015, is the son of Benjamin and Cynthia Johnson of Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is an independent liberal arts college of 1,550 students in Spartanburg, S.C. Wofford ranks 2nd nationally in the percentage of undergraduates receiving credit for study abroad. Home to one of the nation's 280 Phi Beta Kappa chapters, Wofford's historic 170-acre campus is recognized as a national arboretum. Wofford is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
