Chelsea Ashworth Honored at Wofford College Greek Awards Program

Chelsea Ashworth received the Panhellenic Greek Athlete of the Year Award during the Wofford College Greek Awards Program held on March 20, 2012. The Athlete of the Year Award is given to the female varsity athlete who not only has excelled in her career as an athlete, but also has maintained steady involvement in Greek life at Wofford. Ashworth has been a member of the SoCon All-Academic Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletics and a star player on the soccer team, all while managing Greek Life and maintaining a high GPA.

Ashworth, a member of the class of 2013, is the daughter of Kevin and Edithe Ashworth of Cuming, Ga. 30041.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is an independent liberal arts college of 1,550 students in Spartanburg, S.C. Wofford ranks 2nd nationally in the percentage of undergraduates receiving credit for study abroad.
