Chiedza Mushayamunda attends the Sullivan Foundation Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Retreat

2014 Oct 22

Chiedza Mushayamunda was one of four Wofford students selected to attend the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation's Service and Social Entrepreneurship Program held Oct. 17-19 at Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, N.C.

Mushayamunda, a first-year student and Bonner Scholar, already has become interested in the innovative, multi-layered, multi-pronged approach to community development of the Northside Development Group in Spartanburg, S.C.

The Sullivan Foundation Service and SE Program Fall Retreat Weekend provides students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to connect with others to delve into service and social entrepreneurship through a variety of speakers and activities.

Wofford College is one of about 50 colleges and universities, most of them in the South, authorized to present the Algernon Sydney Sullivan and Mary Mildred Sullivan Awards. The recipients, a graduating senior and a non-student of each gender, are named and the awards presented annually during spring commencement ceremonies.
