Christopher Michael Novak receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Christopher Michael Novak was recognized on May 6 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the the President's Award. Novak majored in finance, emphasis in information management and received a bachelor of science degree on May 18, 2014..

Novak has served as president of Campus Union and is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, the Catholic Newman Club, and the Fun Funds committee. During his senior year, he joined the Wofford team in the Certified Financial Analyst Research Challenge, a stock research competition. Novak studied abroad four times, spending a semester in Rome; a summer in Manipal, India; and two Interims in a Spanish-intensive language program in Chile. Novak will begin his career as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting in Atlanta, Ga.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
