Danielle Justine Scott receives award during Honors Convocation at Wofford College

Wofford College student Danielle Justine Scott received the David Duncan Wallace Award, the departmental award for history, and the departmental award for sociology and anthropology during Honors Convocation on May 9. David Duncan Wallace, professor of history and department chair from 1899 to 1947, was a prolific author and the foremost South Carolina historian of his day. She is majoring in history and sociology.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
