Drake McCormick conducts independent project during Interim 2016

Wofford's Interim is a time for exploration and experiential learning away from the rigors of traditional academic courses for students and faculty alike. Drake McCormick was one of several students who chose to participate in an internship or research project during Interim 2016. McCormick's independent Interim project was "Financial Consulting with Synovus Securities." He worked at the main branch of NBSC in Sumter, S.C., with Synovus stock broker Harvin Barnes. McCormick shadowed Barnes throughout the month as they met with clients, reviewed portfolios, traded assets and developed client-to-broker relationships. McCormick's Interim project allowed him to gain experience that will assist him if he decides on a career in the financial sector.
