Elizabeth Grace Ramsey receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Elizabeth Grace Ramsey was recognized on May 7 during Honors Day ceremonies when she received the the Heart of the Terrier Award and the Senior Order of Gnomes recognition. Ramsey is majoring in biology. The Heart of a Terrier Leadership Award recognizes students who have made a positive difference on the campus and excelled in scholarship, leadership and campus citizenship and service. The Senior Order of Gnomes recognizes students considered to be the most prominent and influential members of the senior class.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
