Erin Elizabeth Simmonds inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

Erin Elizabeth Simmonds, a member of the class of 2015, was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Thursday, May 7, when she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Simmonds is majoring in French, history and religion. A Daniel Scholar, she also received the Lewis P. Jones Scholarship and the Paula Binovec Scholarship. She has served on the Wofford Athletics and Recreation Committee and is active in the French Club. Simmonds spent a semester studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, and recently was inducted into Pi Delta Phi National French Honor Society. A candidate for a bachelor of arts degree, Simmonds has been accepted a Divinity School Scholarship at the University of Chicago Divinity School..

Thirty-five Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 74th anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
