James Richard Fields receives award during Honors Convocation at Wofford College

Wofford College student James Richard Fields received the James Edwin Proctor Award, the departmental award for finance, during Honors Convocation on May 9. The James Edwin Proctor Award is presented to a member of the senior class for outstanding achievement in the field of finance. He is majoring in accounting, mathematics and finance.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
