James Ross Hill receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior James Ross Hill was recognized on May 6 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the the departmental award for sociology. Hill majored in psychology and sociology and received a bachelor of science degree on May 18, 2014..

Hill plans to pursue a master's degree in marriage and family counseling at Converse College.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
