John William Cox receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior John William Cox was recognized on May 7 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the the Heart of the Terrier Award. Cox is majoring in business economics. The Heart of a Terrier Leadership Award recognizes students who have made a positive difference on the campus and excelled in scholarship, leadership and campus citizenship and service.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
