Jonathan Alvin Franklin receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Jonathan Alvin Franklin was recognized on May 3 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the the Eric Marshall Award. Franklin is majoring in English and humanities. The Eric L. Marshall '07 AMS Legacy Award is given to a senior of color who emulates Marshall's leadership, sincerity, pure servant's heart, trustworthiness, honesty, citizenship and love for humankind..

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
