Joshua Fester receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Joshua Fester was recognized on May 3 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the departmental award for government.

Fester is majoring in government and Spanish. He served as chairman of the Wofford College Republicans and studied abroad in Uruguay. Fester plans to attend law school at the University of South Carolina.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
