Justin William Whitaker receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Justin William Whitaker was recognized on May 7 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the the departmental award for physics. Whitaker is majoring in physics with a minor in computer science and an emphasis in computational science.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
