Kalle Danielle Davis receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Kalle Danielle Davis was recognized on May 6 during Honors Day ceremonies when she received the the William James McLeod Award. Davis majored in Spanish with a minor in religion, concentration in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and received a bachelor of arts degree on May 18, 2014..

Davis plans to teach high school Spanish at a school in Greensboro, N.C., through Teach for America.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
