Katherine Jill Pellon inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

Katherine Jill Pellon, a member of the class of 2015, was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Thursday, May 7, when she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Pellon is majoring in accounting, finance and Spanish. She has served as a member of the Twin Towers service organization, a research associate with the R. Michael James Student Managed Investment Fund and a Wofford Ambassador. Pellon studied abroad in Alicante, Spain, and volunteered with the United Way Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program preparing tax returns for low-income Spartanburg residents. Following graduation, Pellon will travel to Haiti with student representatives of the James Fund to renew the fund's microloans to local entrepreneurs. A candidate for a bachelor of arts degree, she will begin her career as a management consultant with Ernst & Young in its financial services consulting practice..

Thirty-five Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 74th anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
