Mary Lewis Griffin receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Mary Lewis Griffin was recognized on May 6 during Honors Day ceremonies when she received the the Outstanding Citizen Award. Griffin majored in biology and received a bachelor of science degree on May 18, 2014..

Griffin plans to enroll in the University of South Carolina's College of Pharmacy.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
