Mathew "Hayden" Breckenridge participates in The Institute at Wofford

Mathew "Hayden" Breckenridge is one of 17 students participating in The Institute at Wofford, a program created by the college in 2009 to help students learn professional skills such as networking, public speaking and consulting before graduation to help them better compete for jobs. Breckenridge, a member of the class of 2016, is majoring in physics.

The Institute runs from July 7 through August 1. Divided into groups, the students will tackle a problem for one of four companies: MUSC, Dave Edwards Toyota, Fight Card and Treefalls. In preparation for their projects, Institute students learn the basic skills needed to function in a professional environment.
