Monier M. Abusaft Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

Monier M. Abusaft was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Thursday, April 26, when he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Parent(s)/Guardian: Mark and Ashley Abusaft of Summerville, Ga. 30747.

Abusaft graduated from Wofford in May 2011 with a major in religion and a minor in government. During his time at Wofford he served on the Judicial Commission, was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, and was a participant in the Presidential Seminar. He currently is attending Vanderbilt Law School, where he is the recipient of both the Richard Hailey and Chancellor Scholarships. Abusaft's long-term plans are to return to South Carolina to practice both criminal and civil law.

Thirty-five Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 71st anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
