Pari Barr Participates in Wofford College's Presidential Seminar 2012

Pari Barr, a member of the class of 2012, and the child of Terry and Nilly Barr of Greenville, SC (29609), has been chosen to participate in Wofford's Presidential Seminar 2012.

The participants in the Presidential Seminar 2012 continue a tradition begun in the spring of 1999. The Wofford Presidential Seminar was conceived as both a capstone experience in the liberal arts and as recognition of graduating seniors for the academic achievement and their contributions to the college community. Participants nominated by their departments and selected by President Benjamin Dunlap become part of a semester-long colloquium involving not only themselves and two moderators, but various Wofford faculty members, alumni and friends of the college invited to join individual sessions.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is an independent liberal arts college of 1,550 students in Spartanburg, S.C. Wofford ranks 2nd nationally in the percentage of undergraduates receiving credit for study abroad. Home to one of the nation's 280 Phi Beta Kappa chapters, Wofford's historic 170-acre campus is recognized as a national arboretum. Affiliated is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
