Rebecca Evans McGregor receives award during Honors Convocation at Wofford College

Wofford College student Rebecca Evans McGregor received the James E. Seegars Award, the departmental award for psychology, and the Heart of a Terrier Award during Honors Convocation on May 9. James E. Seegars joined the psychology department in 1962 and retired as professor and chair in 2001. The "Heart of a Terrier" leadership award recognize those students who have made a positive difference on campus and excelled in scholarship, leadership and campus citizenship and service. She is majoring in psychology and Spanish.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
