Rufus Chambers participates in The Institute at Wofford

Rufus Adair Chambers (Rufus) is one of 20 students participating in The Institute at Wofford, a program created by the college in 2009 to help students learn professional skills such as networking, public speaking and consulting before graduation to help them better compete for jobs.

Chambers, a member of the class of 2016, is from Atlanta, Ga..

The institute runs from July 8 through August 2. Divided into groups, the students will tackle a problem for one of four local companies: the Boy Scouts of America Palmetto Council, globalbike, Michelin North America, and Milliken and Co. In preparation for their projects, Institute students learn the basic skills needed to function in a professional environment.
