Sarah Catherine Madden receives award during Honors Convocation at Wofford College

Wofford College student Sarah Catherine Madden received the Benjamin Wofford Prize during Honors Convocation on May 9. The Benjamin Wofford Prize is awarded for the novella judged clearly superior in the novel-writing course offered every other year. She is majoring in English and environmental studies.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
