Stuart Robertson receives award during Honors Day ceremonies at Wofford College

Wofford College senior Stuart Dudley Robertson was recognized on May 3 during Honors Day ceremonies when he received the departmental award for finance and the Heart of the Terrier Award.

Robertson, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, is majoring in finance and mathematics. A citizen of New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom, he lived in the Philippines and the United States before entering Wofford. He has been an active member of the Wofford tennis team, completed an internship at OTO Development, and attended the Institute for Professional Development. He also is a member of the R. Michael James Student-Investment Fund and he served on Wofford's award-winning Chartered Financial Analyst team. After graduation he will join the Edens Co. in Columbia, S.C., as a financial analyst.

The Heart of a Terrier Leadership Award recognizes students who have made a positive difference on the campus and excelled in scholarship, leadership and campus citizenship and service.

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
