Wofford College cadet, Brian Lipscomb, commissioned as Second Lieutenant

Brian Lee Ayers Lipscomb, a cadet in Wofford College's ROTC program, was commissioned second lieutenant on May 15, 2015. As a newly appointed Army officer, Lipscomb will go on to serve in a number of critical fields in the National Guard, Reserve, and active duty forces. Taking the oath of office is not only a great honor, but also is a symbol of their hard work and dedication that was applied towards this accomplishment. Lipscomb will serve as an infantry officer. His first duty assignment will be Fort Benning, Ga.

Lipscomb, a member of the class of 2015, graduated in May with a bachelor of arts degree in English, cum laude.
